The Student Status defines the statuses that are valid for a given institution and how Astra Schedule should use them when working with student data during sectioning.  Student Statuses are typically captured during student data imports from the SIS during implementation, but may be manually added and edited as well.

 

To view the list of statuses that have been either captured during import or manually created, click the Student Statuses option on the Academics tab.

 

 

Click the status name directly to view the Student Status form.  You may edit the attributes of the Student Status record, which consists of the following elements:

 

•Name

 

•Description

 

•Schedule Student

 

This option controls the status drop-down selection list on the student selector for Sectioning and Simulated Registration

 

•Import Student

 

This option controls the status drop-down selection list on the ATE import job form

 

•Is Graduated

 

This option can be set manually if the imported data does not pick up a graduated student attribute

 

•Is a Drop

 

This option can be set manually to indicate which student status represents "dropped" students

 

•Show in Lists

 

This option can be set if not "schedule student" or "import student" and controls the drop-down list in the Base Predictive sandbox and student list page
