Astra Schedule will periodically receive maintenance updates and feature upgrades.  These application updates are announced and distributed via Astra Schedule technical support.  The same .msi file is used for upgrades and initial installations.  The options chosen in the Astra Schedule Control Panel during the update process determine the tasks performed.

 

The most typical tasks performed are an initial installation, or a standard upgrade to an existing installation and database. Other tasks may be performed as well, including editing application configuration settings, creating an upgrade test database, or copying an existing database.

 

NoteNote: Server and database clone operations are not supported methods for creating duplicate installations for test purposes.  Cloning the server and/or database will cause problems due to the application and database infrastructure.  See Create a Test Environment from Production or Copy Data from One Instance to Another for accepted methods.
