To uninstall the Astra Schedule application, perform the following:
1.Open the Astra Schedule Control Panel.
2.Click the Task Agent link at the top of the window.
3.Select Uninstall task agent.
4.Select the task agent to uninstall. If the uninstall completes successfully, continue to step 5. Otherwise, go to option 2.
5.Open Windows Explorer.
6.Navigate to the folder where the task agent was uninstalled. This will be something like C:\Ad Astra\%YourInstance%.
7.Delete the TaskAgent folder.
1.Open the Service management console under Administrative Tools.
2.Find the Task Agent in the services list, right click, and select Properties.
3.Select the Service Name and copy it to the clipboard.
4.Open a Command Prompt, or click Start > Run.
5.Enter “sc <space> delete <space> <AstraServiceName>“ using the actual name of the installed service pasted from the clipboard. Press the enter, or OK, to uninstall the service.
6.Exit the Command Prompt.
7.Navigate to the folder where the task agent is installed. This will be something like C:\Ad Astra\%YourInstance%.
8.Delete the TaskAgent folder.
1.Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager under Administrative Tools .
2.Expand the tree on the left panel and locate the virtual directory for the instance you want to remove.
3.Right click on the virtual directory and select Manage Application and then Advanced Settings. Note the name of the application pool used by this application instance.
4.Right click on the virtual directory and select Remove.
5.Locate the Application Pool from step 3 in the list of application pools. If the number of applications for this application pool is zero, delete the application pool by right clicking on it and selecting Remove.
6.If the client has any customized spokes, reports, hover styles, make sure you have copies of these files. These can be found in the appropriate subfolder under the Files folder.
7.Navigate to the folder where the web application is installed. Something like C:\Ad Astra\%YourInstance%.
8.Delete the Schedule folder.
9.Delete the Files folder. Answer the prompts as needed to continue to delete the folder.
If desired, use SQL Server or Oracle management tools to drop the database.
The steps above will remove a single instance of the application. If you wish to remove the entire folder structure for the release, you will need to uninstall all application instances and then also uninstall the Astra Schedule Control Panel and remove the version folder (it is not uninstalled if there are any files left that were not created by the installer).
To continue, perform the following:
1.Browse to the location of your Astra installation folder. The default path is C:\Ad Astra.
2.Select and delete the Ad Astra folder to remove the remaining application files.
1.Launch the Windows Control Panel and open Add/Remove Programs.
2.Find and remove the Astra Schedule Control Panel. This will remove the application registry entry and the Start Menu shortcuts.
