When to Run

CampusVueCampusImport.xml

Typically only run at the beginning of an implementation.  This will need to be re-run if the institution adds more Campuses.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Campuses, re-importing will not override any configuration.

CampusVueAttributeCodeImport.xml

Only run at the beginning of an implementation.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Attribute Codes, re-importing will not override any configuration.

CampusVueDegreeImport.xml

Only needs to be re-run when new Degrees are added to the SIS.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Degrees, re-importing will not override any configuration.

CampusVueLevelImport.xml

Only run at the beginning of an implementation.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Levels, re-importing will not override any configuration.

CampusVueMeetingTypeImport.xml

Typically only run at the beginning of an implementation.  This will need to be re-run if the institution adds more Meeting Types.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Meeting Types at the master list level, re-importing will not override any configuration.

CampusVuePgmVersionImport.xml

Only needs to be re-run when new Program Versions are added to the SIS.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Program Versions, re-importing will not override any configuration.

CampusVueStudentStatusImport.xml

Typically only run at the beginning of an implementation.  This will need to be re-run if the institution adds more Student Statuses.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Student Status, re-importing will not override any configuration.

CampusVueBuildingRoomImport.xml

Only needs to be re-run when new Buildings or Rooms are added to the SIS or if the Room data has changed.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Buildings, re-importing will not override any configuration.  If any imported Room data is modified in Astra, this will be overridden when a new import occurs.

CampusVueTermImport.xml

Only needs to be re-run when new Terms are added to the SIS.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Terms, re-importing will not override any configuration.

CampusVueCourseImport.xml

Only needs to be re-run when new Courses are added to the SIS or existing Courses have been changed.

If any imported Course data is modified/deleted in Astra, this will be overridden when a new import occurs.  There are parameters on the Course import that allow you to choose to only bring in New Courses.  This will avoid any of the courses that have been modified in Astra from being overridden, but will not pick up any changes that have occured in Banner for those courses modified in Astra.

CampusVueSectionImport.xml

Only run at the beginning of an implementation to obtain Meeting Patterns and the initial instructor authorized courses.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Sections, re-importing will not override any configuration.

CampusVuePgmStudentImport.xml

This needs to be run before every scheduling cycle to pick up new students, existing student changes, and new academic history.

Because we don’t do any additional configuration on Students, re-importing will not override any configuration.  Students will be updated if their data in the SIS has changed.
